Today, even it’s Friday and I have a day off I was working on my new project. Listening to Spotify as always while I work on computer. This time song “How Deep Is Your Love” catches my attention. It is a song by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris and English production trio Disciples.
Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish record producer, singer, songwriter and DJ. Harris rose to international prominence in 2012 with the release of his third studio album, “18 Months”. He has collaborated with numerous other recording artists. His sound tracks are in everyones playlists.
Disciples are an English production, electronic trio made up of Nathan V Duvall, Gavin Harryman Koolmon, and Luke Anthony McDermott based in South London. They are not very famous and to find information about them is a difficult task. The trio gained international recognition through their collaboration with Calvin Harris.
“How Deep Is Your Love” is a song dependent heavily on hypnotic repetition and a fascination with the idea of love as something deep. Apart from that, Harris’s lyrics are not exceptionally deep themselves, but they support the music’s laudable and enjoyable dance vibe. Song features voice of Norwegian songwriter Ina Wroldsen. Important to mention she providing uncredited vocals.
“How Deep Is Your Love” by Calvin Harris and Disciples is purely dance pop. Very little happens in the lyrics to directly promote philosophical discussion, but it does touch on several important issues that listeners may question for themselves–ideas like “What is love?” “What is the difference between sex and intimacy?” and “Is sex necessary to love and closeness?” Perhaps listeners will be challenged with mind-boggling questions like this out on the dance floor even while the catchy melody and energizing rhythm cause them to lose their minds (in an enjoyable and enthralling way!).
I find this song very sexy and still very on even if song is 1 year old. You all know how many musicians, bands and Dj’s nowadays. Crazy number of new music released every day and I believe is not so easy to keep up and keep creating gold singles. But not for Harris.
